3 Ingredient No-Churn Ice cream with Michela Chiappa

Transform your home into your very own Gelateria with Michela's 3 ingredient, no-churn ice cream recipe. These simple 3 ingredients can be transformed into hundreds of different flavours, perfect to suit Nonnas and Bambinos alike.
Start with the vanilla base and then swirl in your favourite combos...
VANILLA ICE-CREAM (base)
500ml double cream
1 tin condensed milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Whisk the 3 ingredients until you achieve soft peaks. This makes your basic Vanilla gelato. Freeze for approx 4-6 hours. I recommend taking the ice cream out 10 mins before serving so it softens. Or you can freeze it in silicone sticks and have it as a retro mini milk lolly.
FLAVOUR COMBOS
If you want to make different flavour combos, try swirling any of these ingredients into the vanilla base before you freeze:
- Chocolate syrup
- Raspberry ripple - blend some frozen raspberries with some icing sugar and a splash of cranberry/orange juice to create a raspberry puree, swirl through the vanilla gelato.
- Caramelised hazelnuts and chocolate - caramelise your nuts by putting 2 handfuls of roughly chopped hazelnuts with half a cup of icing sugar and turn to a medium heat. The sugar will melt and caramelise around the nuts. Allow to cool then stir them into the ice cream with 50g of cocoa powder.
- Ground coffee
- Crema di pistachio
- Crumble any favourite cookie (amaretti biscuits is a personal fave in our household!)
